When we formed Spring Chicken it was with the clear aim of celebrating our significantly increased life expectancy.

We all feel younger than we are and 70 has become the new 50, giving us a lot more time to do the hobbies we really enjoy. High on the list are holidays – life is all about experiences, this does not mean we are escaping the hurdles our health and age throws at us. Arthritis, Parkinson’s Disease, multiple sclerosis, heart conditions, failing eyesight and a host of other problems, all present challenges unique to the individual.

Our illnesses and conditions frequently create the feeling that our activities have become limited and horizons reduced, diminishing life’s enjoyment. We want to show you that life can be full of new experiences and positive challenges, be enormous fun including holidays from which you can return energised and proud of your achievements. We want to keep the well travelled, travelling well!

We didn’t want to put boundaries on your holiday experiences – we want you to travel without limits.
To be able to offer this service we have linked up with Travel Counsellors, whose reputation for service and integrity is second to none. Our Travel Page has a variety of holidays that we consider to be ideal for our mature community. You will have the opportunity with Travel Counsellors to build your own unique holidays where you can realise or rekindle your travel ambitions – whatever they might be and wherever you want to go. Once again you can turn your travel dreams into reality.

Travel Counsellors is an independent travel company with over 1800 travel professionals, in 7 countries who are focused on creating your perfect, hassle free, travel experience.

Making you feel looked after

Travel Counsellors are passionate about creating holidays you’ll never forget and that means getting to know you, talking together for as long as it takes, to understand your likes, dislikes, dreams and aspirations down to the very last detail – at a time to suit you.
You only deal with one person, it’s a bit like having a personal shopper on the end of the phone or even on the sofa beside you. A travel expert with a caring attitude who’s always going to go the extra mile to make sure it isn’t only choosing and visiting your destination full of magical memories, but the whole experience is stress and hassle free. It is your Travel Counsellor that will do the running about.
And the relationship doesn’t end the minute you get your tickets. If you have any questions about your holiday, flights or accommodation, you can pick up the phone – any time of the day – and your worries can be put to rest.
It’s a relationship based on trust, an approach that you won’t find on the high street, via a call centre or surfing the web.
