Novelty Toilet Soap

In the 1990s, children had bubble bath containers in the shape of favourite characters, such as the Simpsons, Postman Pat, Fireman Sam and Mr Blobby. 

In the 1950s, it was novelty soap characters that entranced youngsters, each coming in its own special box – PC49, Andy Pandy, Thumper, Bambi and so on.

Eventually, the moment came for some when their mother would suggest the shaped soap should actually be used.
