What to expect at a home demonstration

The day before

Our friendly customer service team will call you to check you are still available for the appointment. They will also be able to give you a more accurate time of arrival based on the demonstrator’s planned diary. We will ask you to confirm that you, or anybody in your household is not displaying Covid-19 symptoms. You can also let our team know if there are any specific parking instructions.

 

On the day

Our home demonstrator will telephone you when they are one hour away from your home. Upon arrival, they will park where instructed and follow our Covid-19 protocol (overleaf). They’ll come to your door and introduce themselves before coming inside to start one of the most important parts of the demonstration; fact finding. This ensures our demonstrator understands exactly what your needs are and is sure to recommend the most appropriate product. Our customer service team will have asked you some of these questions before, but being face-to-face with you gives an extra level of information to us.

Once the demonstrator knows what you need, they will prepare a space in your home ready to bring the product(s) in. They will set it up safely, before beginning the full demonstration for you and other family/friends you wish to be present (we always recommend having at least one more person with you). With the product demonstrated, it’s now your turn! Our demonstrator will show you the best way of getting onto the product, before allowing you to use and test all the features required. If you’re buying a mobility product, the demonstrator will offer you the chance to drive the product outside and put into the boot of your car. If you’re buying a furniture piece, they will allow you to lie or sit for as long as you need to ensure it’s right for you.

Once you have tested the product and are satisfied, the demonstrator will confirm exactly what model, specifications and colours you have chosen.

With all questions answered, our demonstrator will leave your home, taking the demonstration product(s) with them. You are then at liberty to take your time, with no pressure, before deciding whether to purchase.

The day after

Our customer service team will call you to ask for feedback on how our demonstrator performed. This is a very important part of our process as we want to ensure our team are always providing the very highest levels of care and service.
